Fashion Trends Winter 25/26
The fashion trends for the winter 25/26 season are here, and we are breaking down ways to wear these in a casual or everyday way. Check out these five new trends you can add to any wardrobe.
Black and Brown & Leather
This winter season’s trends are going to be so easy to pair with anything from a pair of blue jeans to a more formal skirt or pair of trousers. The most obvious trend that stood out was the pairing of black with brown and cream or white. It was literally everywhere, and it is so cozy and warm for this cooler time of the year.
Suedes and other types of leather are other key ingredients in this year’s trends. From handbags to coats, pants, and more. If you like leather, this is your time to dig it out of the closet.
Sequins & Voile Fashion Trends
So while I can’t pronounce it, the voile trend is well grounded in this winter’s season. Almost every outfit had it in some form or other, and usually in a crepe paper color. Lace was also worked into the mix at the bottom of skirts or on shirts.
Sequins found their way back into the mix and can easily be added to the outfit in shirts, jackets, or purses. I’ve even noticed some skirts and dresses out there, but after all, this article is all about casual winter wear. The red jacket above right is on Walmart for $29.00
Belts, Ties and Scarves on Trend
If you love belts, well, they are on every outfit, and the chunkier the better. Ties and scarves are also being worn as belts, headbands, or as accessories on purses.
So cinch it up with this year’s fashion trend accessory for all.
Slouchy Boots and Bags
Another fashion trend to love this year is slouchy boots and top-handle totes and bags. These floppy pieces add flair to your casual outfit and will help you stand out in the crowd. Once again, you’ll find these in suede, brown, and black. This vegan option, above left, is from the GAP for only $69.95.
It’s interesting to note that wearing your ankle and knee-high boots with straight-leg pants is another on-trend look to try.
Chunky Jewelry & Brooches are Back
Finally, the fashion trend for brooches is making a comeback! So dig out your grandma or great grandma’s brooch and pin it on as a belt at your waist or onto your scarf, jacket, or hat.
Chunky jewelry also makes a resurgence this year, mostly in necklaces. Long layers of chunky necklaces in pearls would also look good with your casual look, and would even look great at the next Christmas party.
